A sustainable and modern boardinghouse in historical environment

About our approach to a sustainable and modern boardinghouse

It’s nice to be a hostess or host and to run a guesthouse: to rent privately to city-breakers, business travelers or visitors to the area or to provide a temporary home if needed. And with this house in the area of Offenbach between Darmstadt and Frankfurt, our plans came to fruition. We have focused on making the renovation and day-to-day operation sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The spectrum starts with the usage of clay as a traditional as well natural and CO2-free manufactured building material. It includes in the best sense “recycled” (reused) building materials), solar heat for heating support and solar power from the own photovoltaic system. Energy-efficient lighting, organic food, the absence of small portion packaging and the bed linen, which is dried and smoothed without electrical energy are also part of it.

We have welcomed guests from more than 40 countries of the world and shall be delighted if you too – whether privately or on business – feel comfortable and at home during your overnight or longer stay with us, here near the Rhine and Main in our “loam quarters”, our small organic hotel.
